How much does a new shop front cost?

A complete aluminium and glass shopfront with security shutter and single entry door (based on a 5m x 3m frontage) costs £3,500 + VAT including fitting; a mostly-glass shopfront with shutter is £4,500 + VAT, and timber shopfronts start from £8,500 + VAT. Prices may differ slightly or increase depending on exact size and design requirements. All prices exclude VAT. Every project gets a free site survey and itemised quote.

Do I need planning permission for a new shop front?

Usually yes — replacing or materially altering a shopfront normally needs planning permission, and illuminated signage needs separate advertisement consent. Like-for-like repairs generally don't. We guide you through the consents as part of the project.

How long does shop front installation take?

The typical timeline is 7-10 working days from survey to completed installation. We can work out of hours or in phases so your shop keeps trading.

Can you repair or respray my existing shopfront?

Yes. We repair shopfronts and shutters, replace glass, and can respray structurally sound aluminium frames on site in any of 213 RAL colours for a fraction of replacement cost.
