Same-day repair callouts and planned maintenance for commercial doors, automatic doors, shop front glass and roller shutters — across London, Essex and the wider UK. We repair fronts we installed and fronts we did not.
Most repair calls we take come down to three things: a door that no longer closes properly, glass that has been broken or has misted, or a shutter that has stopped moving. We handle all three — on shop fronts we installed, and on ones we did not.
If a repair is not worth doing we will tell you, and quote for the replacement instead of returning for the same fault every few months.
These are the faults we are called out to most often. If yours is on this list, we have almost certainly carried the part before — tell us which one and we will bring it with us.
Not listed, or not sure what you are looking at? Send a photo on WhatsApp and we will tell you what it is. If the premises are not secure right now, go straight to emergency repair.
Free, no-obligation quote. Add a photo if you have one and we will come back fast.
No obligation. We usually reply the same day.
Five trades most shopfitters split between three contractors, handled by one engineer.
Closers, pivots, patch fittings, locks and panic hardware — the parts that actually wear out.
Operators, sensors, drive belts, controllers and guide rails, with a safety check every visit.
Broken panes, misted sealed units and cracked toughened glass, boarded up first if needed.
Realignment, weather seals and thresholds on doors that have dropped or started to catch.
Motors, barrels, laths, guide rails and annual safety brake testing.
Scheduled servicing and condition reporting for multi-site operators.
A shop or office entrance is opened a few hundred times a day. The parts that wear out are predictable, and most can be replaced without taking the door out of the frame.
If the door itself has reached the end of its life, we would rather quote you for a new commercial aluminium door than keep charging callouts against a frame that cannot be brought back.
Automatic doors fail in two ways: the door stops moving, or it moves when it should not. The second is the one to take seriously.
Every automatic door we attend gets a safety check before we leave: opening and closing forces, sensor coverage across the full travel of the door, and the reversal response when an obstruction is detected. A door that opens reliably but does not stop for an obstruction has not been fixed.
Broken shop front glass is the repair that cannot wait, because the premises are not secure until it is done. We board up first so you can keep trading, then glaze properly once the pane is ready.
One thing worth knowing: a blown sealed unit cannot be permanently "de-misted", whatever you may have been offered. Drilling and drying it removes the symptom for a season, not the cause. Once the seal has gone, the unit needs replacing. For a full replacement front rather than a repair, see our glass shopfronts page.
Tell us what has failed and send a photo if you can — it usually tells the engineer which parts to bring.
Out of hours, call 074 1232 3200. Prefer to write it down? Send us the details.
Booked, non-urgent shutter work. If your shutter is stuck open, has been forced, or the premises are not secure right now, our emergency roller shutter repair service is a same-day callout and is the page you want.
For everything else — a shutter that has become heavy, noisy, slow, or is starting to catch — a booked visit is cheaper and lets us bring the right parts first time.
If you are weighing up repair against replacement, our roller shutter installation page sets out the options and what they cost.
Describe the fault and we will tell you honestly whether to repair or replace, before anyone comes out.
Commercial door maintenance is the line most businesses cut first and regret later. Reactive repairs cost more than scheduled ones, and they arrive at the worst possible moment.
If you run more than one site, a maintenance contract usually works out cheaper across a year than the callouts it replaces.
Tell us how many doors, shutters and sites you have and we will put a schedule and a price together. Commercial door maintenance can be quoted on its own, or bundled with shutter servicing so both are covered in the same visit.
Call, WhatsApp or use the form. A photo of the fault is worth more than a description — it often tells us which parts to load before we set off.
Same day where we can reach you, otherwise a booked window. You will know which before the call ends.
We carry common closers, cylinders, laths and seals on the van, so a good share of jobs are finished on the first visit.
Boarding up, securing a door shut or isolating a powered shutter — so you are not left exposed while a part is on order.
Anything beyond the callout is quoted before we continue.
We do not publish a fixed repair price list, because the same symptom can have very different causes — a door that will not close might need a ten-minute adjustment or a new floor spring. What we can set out honestly is what moves the number.
Every repair is quoted before work starts, and all prices are quoted +VAT. If you are costing a new front rather than a repair, our shop front prices page has installation figures.
We work from Romford and cover Greater London, Essex and the surrounding Home Counties for repair callouts, with wider UK coverage for planned maintenance and larger scheduled works. If you are unsure whether we reach you, call and ask — it is a short conversation.
